About this site

The idea for this site is pretty simple. Basically, I love to write. I don’t know if I’m any good at it – I’ve never tried to get published. I’ve been told I’m good, though – which is a nice ego boost. My mother will tell you I was born to write, because I can’t say anything unless it’s novel-length, no matter how hard I try. (And a little bit of truth to that – my grandmother was a poet, and a pretty good one at that – so maybe I did get something in the genes.)

I have stories in my head, and I want to write them. Maybe someday I’ll try and get something published, but for now, this is the spot where I will be practicing my writing…and more importantly, get these stories out of my head.

I know I’m taking a chance by doing this – that someday, someone might come along and see my stuff and think “Hey – that would make a great story” and steal it. So yes, I am well aware of that possibility. Although I’m NOT willing to let someone steal my stories for their own gain – you bet your ass if you try it, you’ll be looking at a lawsuit so fast your head’ll spin – but I am willing to put my writing out here, in the public view…I guess it’s just a test to see how much I suck.

So this isn’t an online journal in the way that “normal blogs” go. I’m taking “self-publishing” to the online format, and using this blog to tell my stories, and publish them for all to see. I welcome any critiques anyone may have – which is why I’m leaving comments open. (Please keep in mind, though a “critique” is leaving a comment that will help me to improve my skills, and make my stories better. If you aren’t going to be constructive, the comment will be deleted.)

Hopefully you enjoy reading my stories. (Hopefully, you’re an agent or a publisher who will enjoy them so much, I’ll get a big fat contract!) I know I’m going to enjoy writing them…

…and that’s what this site is all about.
